About Dr. Castleman
Dr. Castleman decided to become a dentist because she thought it would be rewarding to provide empathetic care and promote better dental experiences for patients. After dental school, during her hospital dentistry residency, she realized that the most satisfaction was in relieving patients’ pain. After root canal therapy, a patient is able to keep their teeth without pain. Dr. Castleman decided this was truly her goal.
“I perform one of the most feared dental procedures multiple times every day. Yet I know that by reassuring and educating my patients about their dental needs, they are more comfortable and have a positive experience and will be more likely to continue to improve their dental health and retain their natural teeth,” says Dr. Castleman.
As an Endodontist, Dr. Castleman specializes in performing root canal treatments and surgeries around the roots, saving natural teeth, and relieving oral and facial pain. After receiving her doctorate in dental school, she completed an advanced training in endodontic residency. Dr. Castleman’s expertise in performing root canals, her advanced training in administering anesthesia, and her use of technologies provide a more positive patient experience.
Dr. Castleman received her dental degree from University of California at Los Angeles School of Dentistry. She served in the U.S. Navy for four years after completing a hospital-based general practice residency. She completed her endodontic residency at the Veterans Administration Medical Center in Long Beach, CA.
Dr. Castleman has proudly served as the Missouri Dental Association Action Team Leader (ATL) at the Washington Leadership Conference in 2015 and 2016.
Dr. Castleman is a member of the American Association of Endodontists, American Dental Association, Missouri Dental Association, and 2016 Greater Springfield Dental Society President. She has been in private practice limited to endodontics for over ten years.
